This is a hands-on READING strategies notebook for your students to keep track of all the awesome Reading Comprehension Strategies you will teach!
Each time you teach about a new reading strategy (like Making Connections, Conflict, Speeches, etc) your students will create a mini anchor chart to have as a reference the whole year through!
In this resource you will find:
- A cover page for your Language Arts notebook,
- A cover page for your Reading Notebook section,
- An ”I Can statement” for each outcome (that is aligned with the NEW Alberta Program of Studies) to glue at the top of your notebook page,
- Images, information, etc to create each page/anchor chart, and
- Exemplar Notebook put together
- A sample lesson outline to help you teach any of the strategies
Each student will need:
- Crayons/markers/coloured pencils
- Binder/duotang depending on how you want to use this resource
