This is a hands-on GRAMMAR notebook for your students to keep track of all the awesome Grammar and Conventions lessons you will teach!
Each time you teach about a new rule or parts of speech, your students will create a mini anchor chart to have as a reference the whole year through!
This interactive Grammar Notebook will serve as a practical, engaging resource that students will use and reference throughout the entire year. It covers ALL of your grammar and conventions outcomes for grade 6.
In this resource you will find:
- A cover page for your Language Arts Notebook section,
- A cover page for your Grammar Notebook section,
- An ”I Can statement” for each outcome (that is aligned with the Alberta Program of Studies) on each lesson page,
- An exemplar notebook put together so you know how to fill out each page,
- sample 4-day lesson plan for any grammar concept.
Each student will need:
- Crayons/markers/coloured pencils
- A binder or duotang depending on how you want to organize your notebook
I have found that at the end of the school year, students are proud to show their notebooks to their parents, and parents are interested in seeing all the learning that has occurred in ELA.
